Learning About Color with Sydney Hinson

Artist Sydney Hinson Bucca is known for the bold and brilliant use of color in her work. If you want a stronger understanding of color and how it works in painting, this is the workshop for you. Sydney will cover complementary colors, layering colors and color symbolism in painting. These concepts will be applied as you create a layered, floral painting rich in color and texture.

Sydney Hinson Bucca, from Kershaw, SC, is a painter and sculptor who loves nature, color, and contrast. In addition to her 2-dimensional work, she is a metal sculptor. “If I’m not painting, I’m welding, and sometimes I combine the two,” she said of her passion for art making. Sydney started her art education degree at USC Lancaster and completed it at USC Columbia. She has been an art teacher in the Lancaster County School District for 8 years. She is now a full-time studio artist making 2 and 3 dimensional work for sale.
