Creative Tuesdays On The Move

In January 2022, the Lancaster County Council of the Arts launched our Creative Tuesdays program to offer art workshops to our community. This year, we are introducing "Creative Tuesdays on the Move," expanding to include multiple locations throughout Lancaster County.

April 14th | Date with a Muse with Kim Blum-Hyclak

Join author and poet, Kim Blum-Hyclak, for a generative writing workshop where writers - and wannabe writers - will explore how the Muse speaks through the simplest prompts, surprises them, and directs their writing whether fiction, nonfiction, memoir, or poetry. Participants will leave with the beginnings of several pieces of writing, and the tools to continue building on them. Prompts, paper, and pens will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring laptops or tablets if those are their preferred methods of writing. Click here to learn more.

April 28th | Making Longleaf Pine Needle Earrings with Beckee Garris

In this workshop, local artist, Beckee Garris, will lead participants through the process of turning readily available natural materials (pine needles!) into beautiful, wearable pieces of art. This class is a hands-on introduction to an ancient art form that has been passed down through generations of artists in the Southeast.

Cost: Classes cost between $15-$50, and all supplies are included!

Time: All classes take place from 6:30 - 8:30 pm
