The 2nd Annual Plein Air Arts Festival is a vibrant, weekend-long celebration of creativity, nature, and community, set along the lush, winding trails of the Lindsay Pettus Greenway. Local artists gather with easels and brushes in hand, transforming the scenic outdoor space into an open-air studio where visitors can watch their works come to life in real-time.
Throughout the festival, the greenway will be dotted with painters capturing sun-dappled landscapes, drawing inspiration from the surrounding flora and fauna. Meandering pathways lead guests through a dynamic array of artistic expression, where they can engage with artists, observe techniques, and even try their hand at plein air painting.
The festival features local food trucks and live music performances that set the perfect backdrop for creative exploration. Families can enjoy kid-friendly art activities, like sidewalk chalk art, a scavenger hunt, and cyanotype workshops!
On Sunday, artists can switch it up and try their hand at urban sketching in downtown Lancaster.
This is an immersive experience that fosters a deep appreciation for art in its most natural setting, bringing together artists, nature lovers, and the community for a weekend of inspiration and connection.
