Second Annual Small Works Auction

Calling all artists and art enthusiasts! The LCCA's Second Annual Small Works Auction is happening this October!

This is your chance to share stunning small works with new collectors in your community! 

🎨 Open Call
◦ This auction is open to any and all visual artists!
◦ We provide the canvases, you bring the creativity to make one-of-a-kind works of art. All 2D media accepted!
◦ Works will be on display in person and online, October 12-25. As the artist, you get half the profits and contribute to the continued growth of the arts in Lancaster.

🗒️ How it works
◦ Review the submission guidelines and gallery agreement (linked below).
◦ Stop by the Historic Springs House anytime during out gallery hours (10 am - 4 pm, Monday - Friday) to pick up your canvases and sign a gallery agreement.
◦ Get creative!! Then, bring back your finished canvases by October 6th.

Get ready to bid big on small art! Whether you're a seasoned collector or just looking to add a spark of surprise to your home, this is your moment to dive into a treasure trove of small art that packs a punch.

◦ Every piece is created on an 8"x8" gallery-wrapped canvas; no frames, no fuss, just art that's ready to hang.
◦ Local artists of all levels bring their best to the table! Fresh, original works you won't see everywhere.
◦ Bidding happens online, so you can join the excitement from your couch, the coffee shop, or even between errands.

◦ Online bidding opens October 12th.
◦ The LCCA is hosting a closing auction event on October 25th, in conjunction with the Marian Hagins Memorial Art Competition (another great show of local art!)
◦ All funds raised fuel the Lancaster County Council of the Arts' mission: to enrich our community through vibrant arts, culture, education, and economic vitality.

Why you should bid
◦ This is a fun, accessible way to collect art! You won't need an entire gallery wall, just a little spot that needs some love.
◦ You'll support artists and help build an arts-friendly community right here in Lancaster County.
◦ It's the perfect opportunity to surprise someone (including yourself!) with a unique piece of art. "I got it at the Small Works Auction" sounds pretty good.

October 25th | Closing auction event Historic Springs House | 3:00-4:30pm

October 25th - 30th | Art Pick-Up*

*Auction winners are welcome to take home their artwork at the Closing Event on October 25th. Those unable to attend the closing event can pick up their artwork afterwards during our gallery hours (10 am - 4 pm, Monday - Friday). Winners who live outside the county may have their artwork shipped to them for an additional shipping fee.
